MCA's passing was a difficult pill to swallow. It was extremely difficult to wrap my head around it. Along with Ad-Rock & Mike D, he played an essential role in the evolution of Hip-Hop and created masterworks that were at one time considered novelty and a passing fad. The intersection of high society and downtown streets, where they and their contemporaries resided, essentially creating the road map for today's youth culture.
